An update has surfaced regarding AEW’s Bandido, who has been recovering from recent surgery after sustaining a wrist injury in June 2023 during a match with Konosuke Takeshita.
As reported earlier, Bandido successfully underwent surgery in July 2023 and has been on the road to recovery since. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the luchador is expected to receive full clearance in the next few weeks. Bandido, a former ROH World Champion, signed with AEW in November 2022, following his debut with the promotion in September.
Before committing to AEW, there was speculation about Bandido joining WWE, as he had contract offers from both organizations. However, he chose to sign with AEW to minimize time away from his home in Mexico.
