Giulia Retains NJPW STRONG Women’s Title & New challenger step up

Giulia succesfully defended the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship (V4) in a hard-fought match against Ami Sohrei in the main event of “STARDOM in KORAKUEN 2023”. Giulia secured the victory via pinfall (17:32) with the Northern Light Bomb following a Glorious Driver, to retain the title.

Following the match, Giulia took the microphone and issued an open challenge to her next opponent. To everyone’s surprise, a video suddenly played on the big screen, introducing “The Renaissance Woman” HYAN, a globetrotting wrestler with experience in various promotions, including ROH. HYAN wasted no time and boldly challenged Giulia for the STRONG Women’s Title at NJPW’s “Fighting Spirit Unleashed” event on October 28th in Las Vegas, NV.

Giulia graciously accepted the challenge and was about to conclude the show with a farewell, saying ‘arrivederci,’ when she was surpied by a brutal attack by MICHIKO, formerly known as Andras Miyagi and currently representing the GLEAT promotion, ultimately finishing her off with a devastating Tombstone Piledriver, all while passionately exclaiming, “STARDOM, let’s GLEAT!”

After this attack, is has now been confirmed that Giulia will get the oppertunity for revenge as the match, Giulia vs. MICHIKO will take place on the opening night of the 13th Goddesses of Stardom Tag League on October 15 at Ota Ward General Gymnasium, Tokyo. It’ll be a non-title match.
