New English Voice of NJPW revealed as Walker Stewart confirms role with NJPW

Walker Stewart has announced he will be the new voice of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s English broadcasts. The 21-year-old Stewart has officially confirmed this appointment, in line with an earlier report by the Super J Cast. His new role comes as Kevin Kelly steps back as his Wife asked to be closer to home and not away for as long. In addition to this, he will be focusing on his AEW role, which he acquired earlier this past year when AEW Collision made its debut.

Kelly had previously indicated that he would be providing commentary for Wrestle Kingdom and New Year Dash in January. Stewart will begin his tenure with NJPW as a commentator, starting with Fighting Spirit Unleashed on October 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In a heartfelt message, Stewart expressed his gratitude to Kevin Kelly and Bob Evans for their invaluable guidance and support. On Stewart’s Twitter, he has also confirmed he will also be working with Chris Charlton, which we imagine will be similar to how Kevin has been working with Chris. This will be on his first call for NJPW in Japan on November 4 Power Struggle event from Osaka.

It will be bittersweet to see Kevin Kelly depart NJPW, but it’s a great opportunity for Walker Stewart, who is young and full of passion. We wish him all the best and hope Stewart hits the ground running.
