In a surprising start to last night’s AEW Collision, Big Bill and Ricky Starks secured a swift victory over FTR, claiming the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Rumors about their sudden win circulated, but Dax Harwood clarified on Twitter that there’s no truth to speculations about their departure from AEW.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez confirmed that Cash Wheeler of FTR is presently injured, sustaining the injury in a match against Aussie Open.
Alvarez: “Cash is injured.”
Meltzer: “That’s what it sure appeared to be.”
Alvarez: “Well, he is injured, that’s the story. The story they told on television was it was at the pay-per-view when Aussie Open ran them together, they sold it like he’d injured his rib there.”
