On tonight’s Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole showcased his assertive interviewing style by posing challenging questions to Cody Rhodes regarding his satisfaction with tag team success and reluctance to pursue Roman Reigns and the WWE Championship after WrestleMania setbacks.
Despite attempts to sidestep the inquiry, Rhodes faced persistent questioning from Cole. The interview, however, took an unexpected turn when Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, accompanied by new theme music, interrupted.
Zayn extended congratulations for the title win but expressed mixed emotions, suggesting that he and Owens should be the champions. Owens, on the other hand, straightforwardly voiced dissatisfaction with Rhodes and Uso holding the titles, leading to a challenge for a title match. Cody accepted on his team’s behalf, officially setting the match for the main event.
In a thrilling main event, Cody and Jey successfully defended their titles against Sami & KO, culminating in a ‘CO-DY ONE-D’ finisher. The post-match scene saw all four competitors sharing handshakes, followed by hugs and raised hands, signifying a mutual respect, with Owens finally acknowledging Uso.
