During the opening segment of Monday Night Raw on October 9, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, fresh from his Fastlane victory over Shinsuke Nakamura, expressed his commitment to being a fighting champion. However, his address was abruptly interrupted by Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre swiftly conveyed his desire for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, emphasizing his wish for Rollins to be at full strength. He proposed a match at the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event, to which Rollins promptly agreed. Following the agreement, Damian Priest ambushed Rollins with a chokeslam, and as Dominik Mysterio attempted to intervene, McIntyre intercepted, discarding the Money In The Bank briefcase onto the stage.
