Hikaru Shida Reclaims AEW Women’s Championship
On the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida secured her victory over Saraya, regaining the AEW Women’s Championship.
Shida faced and overcame various challenges, including spray paint antics and two Knight Caps from Saraya. Despite Saraya’s attempt at a third Knight Cap, Shida countered with a falcon arrow. The intense match saw reversals in pin attempts, ultimately leading to Shida scoring the crucial pinfall.
Ruby Soho attempted to intervene, but Toni Storm swiftly intervened, running her off with a shoe.
This marks Shida’s third reign as AEW Women’s Champion, as Saraya’s title reign lasted for 45 days. Saraya had initially won the championship at AEW All In in a four-way bout featuring Shida, Toni Storm, and Britt Baker, managing one successful title defense during her tenure.
