Making a return to NXT, LA Knight appeared on October 10, taking on the role of special guest referee for the NXT Title clash between Ilja Dragunov and Dominik Mysterio.
Knight played a crucial role in the match, warding off Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to ensure a fair contest for the NXT Champion. Trick Williams also entered the fray, neutralizing Rhea Ripley. With the playing field leveled, Dragunov secured the win over the NXT North American Champion.
