MJF Addresses Controversial Promo on AEW Dynamite
In the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF addressed the backlash surrounding a promo. As Bullet Club Gold member, Juice Robinson revealed a roll of quarters with MJF’s name on it, literally displaying “FRIEDMAN” on the roll. The segment sparked considerable online criticism, with concerns raised about potential antisemitic implications.
MJF, who has frequently shared a narrative of being bullied in his youth, where he faced bigoted individuals throwing quarters at him, took to Twitter early on Tuesday to address the recent promo.
AEW sources have verified that MJF obtained clearance for the storyline. They explained that MJF views it as his own story to share and has chosen to tell it within the framework of AEW’s fictional television show. The company underscores the importance of MJF feeling at ease with presenting this specific narrative.
