After retiering from active in ring competition Keji Mutoh’s legendary dark alter ego The Great Muta is set to make an appearance returning for fans to get another look. The WWE Hall of Famer will appear at Pro Wrestling NOAH “MONDAY MAGIC ep2” from Shinjuku FACE, Tokyo on October 23. What he will do will be doing at the show is unkown but be prepared to seem some hidden mist be spat out.
The Great Muta would have his last singles match under the Muta persona vs WWE contractes Shinsuke Nakamura at NOAH’s Januray 1, 2023 “NOAH The New Year” show and having his last ever match at The Great Muta a few week later on January 22, 2023 in a 6-Man Tag match where Muta teamed with AEW stars Sting and Darby Allin to face the team of Hakushi, Akira and Naomichi Marufuji at The Great Muta Final “Bye-Bye” show. Keji Mutoh’s last match came the following month on February 21 at Keiji Muto Grand Final Pro-Wrestling “Last-Love” event where he would face NJPW Tetsuya Naito in the main event in his last ever full singles match. After the bout bieng Keji Mutoh, He called out fellow legend and Masahiro Chono who was at ring side commentating the main event. Chono hadn’t wrestled a match in 9 years due to being already retired, accepted the match and won by submission, the opposite result from their common debut nearly 39 years before. In a touching moment for a generation they break into the wrestling world togther and bow out together.
