AEW and NXT went head-to-head on Tuesday due to AEW Dynamite rescheduling for the MLB playoffs. AEW’s event showcased two title changes, a clash between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland, and Adam Copeland’s debut in the ring.
NXT boasted appearances by Asuka, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, LA Knight, and The Undertaker.
Despite positive reception from many fans for both shows, Tony Khan expressed reservations about Shawn Michaels’ handling of NXT, reacting critically to a graphic featuring Michaels with a “Booker of the Year” award.
