As reported by Fightful Select, the AEW championship scene has faced disruptions due to injuries. Jon Moxley, originally not intended to lose the AEW International Title to Rey Fenix, encountered an injury during their September match, leading to a mid-match audible.
Initial plans aimed to restore the title to Moxley on the October 10 AEW Dynamite, but he wasn’t cleared on the show day, resulting in Orange Cassidy replacing him and winning the International Title. Despite Fenix’s visa issues, whoever faced him likely would have claimed the title, even though it wasn’t initially slated for him.
