Top AEW Star Could Return From Injury This Week On Dynamite

In a recent development regarding Sammy Guevara’s participation in this week’s AEW Dynamite (scheduled for October 18), new information has come to light. Originally paired with Konosuke Takeshita for the October 4 episode, Guevara had to withdraw due to being medically unfit, prompting Kyle Fletcher to step in.

The setback was traced back to a concussion Guevara sustained during the WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 1. According to reports from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Guevara is now aspiring to obtain medical clearance in time for this Wednesday’s Dynamite tapings.

However, the certainty of his return remains ambiguous, as Meltzer conveyed uncertainties surrounding the likelihood of Guevara’s clearance.

“I know he wants to be ready Wednesday. I don’t know if it will happen.

“He had a setback but overall he was doing well recovering from the concussion at the last pay-per-view.

“He should be back relatively soon, at least that’s the hope.

Because Wednesday’s show, this coming Wednesday, is right out of Houston and that’s where he’s from so he really wanted to be on the show.

“But I don’t know that he’s gonna be on the show. If he’s not on the show you know he’s not cleared, if he is on the show then obviously he’s cleared, and with concussions you don’t know.

“He’s gunning for it, but I don’t know what the odds are that that’s gonna happen.”
