All Japan Pro Wrestling has unveiled the line-up of teams and the schedule for the highly-anticipated 2023 “World’s Strongest Tag Determination League”, also known as the “Real World Tag League”. This thrilling tournament is set to run from November 12 to December 6 at the iconic Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The team that accumulates the most points will earn the coveted opportunity to challenge for the AJPW World Tag Team Championship.
Below find all the teams to take part:- Jun Saito & Rei Saito - Yuma Aoyagi & Kento Miyahara - Ryuki Honda & Yuma Anzai - Suwama & Hideki Suzuki - Shuji Ishikawa & Ren Ayabe - Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani (DDT, ERUPTION) - Hayato Tamura & Galeno del Mal (GLEAT, BULK ORCHESTRA) - Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Seigo Tachibana - Cyrus & Ryan Davidson - X & XX (with the details to be revealed later)
Notably, the spotlight is on Kuroshio TOKYO Japan, who will be forming a team with Seigo Tachibana, a familiar face from their time in Wrestle-1. The charismatic “Handsome” Jiro Kuroshio, who made his departure from WWE, is set to return to the Japanese wrestling scene and will be competing under a new name.
In a surprising twist, longtime rivals Suwama and Hideki Suzuki are set to join forces in this tournament, despite their widely known feud. Interestingly, just half an hour after this announcement, they were involved in a heated altercation in front of the press. This fiery exchange took place while Suwama was providing his post-match comments following a 6-man tag title match earlier in the day.
Additionally, the tournament will witness the tournament debut of Hayato Tamura & Galeno del Mal from GLEAT’s BULK ORCHESTRA. Eruption’s Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani from DDT Pro Wrestling will also be making their presence felt in the league. To further add to the intrigue, the identities of the mysterious team X & XX are yet to be disclosed and will be announced at a later date.
