New Japan Star Wins the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship

In a surprising turn of events at DDT Pro Wrestling’s “God Bless DDT 2023” held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Kazuki Hirata successfully defended his DDT EXTREME Championship (V4) against Takeshi Masada (15:27, Count Out) in a thrilling ‘Let’s enjoy! A fun death match for everyone’ Double Title Match. Following a hard-fought bout, Hirata secured a Reverse Miracle One Shot Cradle, swiftly pinning Masada resulting in Hirata to capture the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship from his opponent shortly after the match’s conclusion.

However, the story took another twist during the post-match celebration, as Hirata discussed his upcoming Special Rules Showdown with NJPW’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi at the November 12th Ryogoku event, “DDT ULTIMATE PARTY 2023.” Out of nowhere, Hiromu entered the ring and executed a Schoolboy pin on Hirata, thereby becoming the new DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion. Following this unexpected development, a frustrated Hirata informed Hiromu that he would soon determine the special rules for their Ryogoku Sumo Hall clash, with the Ironman Title now being on the line. On a separate note, fans can anticipate Hirata’s next EXTREME Title defense against MIKAMI scheduled for November 16th at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo.
