Former WWE Star Now Officially A Free Agent

In a recent development, former WWE star Heath Slater, now going by the moniker “Heath” in IMPACT Wrestling, has officially become a free agent with the expiration of his contract. According to reports from Fightful Select (subscription required), Heath’s tenure with IMPACT has concluded, opening up opportunities for new bookings.

Heath Slater parted ways with WWE in April 2020 after nearly a decade on the main roster. Despite a brief return in July 2020 for a single match against Drew McIntyre, he declined a subsequent full-time offer, citing a substantial pay cut from his previous earnings.

Subsequently, Heath joined the IMPACT Wrestling roster, making his debut at the Slammiversary event. Unfortunately, his stint with the company was marred by an early and significant injury, which likely affected the terms of his deal.

Heath Slater, a notable figure in WWE’s history, initially rose to prominence as a member of the Nexus and later as part of the trio known as 3MB alongside Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre. Both Mahal and McIntyre returned to WWE and went on to become WWE Champions.

Throughout his WWE career, Slater achieved success by capturing multiple tag team championships, including the distinction of being the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champion alongside Rhyno. As Heath explores new opportunities in the realm of professional wrestling, fans await his next chapter in the dynamic world of sports entertainment.
