It’s Night 7 of NJPW’s “SUPER Jr TAG LEAGUE 2023” and we are the the begining of the final stretch, as we enter the last few nights before the finals and it really make of break for the teams. The show tonight took place at Industrial Exhibition Hall in Toyama, Japan.
On the night saw YOh & MUSASHI survive to fight another day as they defeated The DKC & Ryusuke Taguchi to stay alive just about while for their oppoents it marked their 5th loss meaning they are pretty much out. In similar fashion, Titan & BUSHI pick up another win putting them on 8 points and still in the running while confirming what majority of the fans already seemed to have figured, that theri opponets on the nights DOUKI and TAKA are eliminated with their 6th loss and only 2 points to their name.
In a interfaction gang warfare style encounter, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & SHO of the House of Torture went head to head with jr tag team champions Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney of BULLET CLUB War Dogs. It is important to note that both teams are part of BULLET CLUB but represent 2 so called sub groups within the faction, the War Dogs & House of Torture respectively. It was the House of Tourture team on the winning end this time upsetting the champs to move to double digit points.
The Main event saw United Empier’s Catch 2/2 Francesco Akira & TJP go up agains the tournament leaders who appear in their 5th consecutive main event match in this years tournament, Master Wato & El Desperado. With Kanemaru and SHO winning and getting to 10 points, Wato and Despey would like to continue to extend their lead to 12 point however, it was Akira & TJP who manged to stop the leaders and winning the mtach up. Catch 2/2 are now on 8 points and still in contention while in the process ending the 4 match tournament winstreak of Wato & Despey.
