Catch 2/2 Win NJPW “SUPER Jr TAG LEAGUE 2023”

TJP and Francesco Akira known as Catch 2/2 emerged as the winners of the “SUPER Jr TAG LEAGUE 2023”, clinching the coveted championship trophies!

In a thrilling showdown at NJPW’s “POWER STRUGGLE 2023” event in Osaka, the formidable United Empire’s Catch 2/2, secured their triumph in the final match of this year’s SJTL. They faced off against the fierce representatives of HOUSE OF TORTURE, SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. It was not easy as before the bell they where attacked by all of the HOUSE OF TORTURE. Once the mtach got started it was an intense contest but with the usualy HOUSE OF TORTURE antics. Which eventually, even the official had enough and sent them to the back. But after a ref bumb, HOUSE OF TORTURE memebers came back to interfier. As it looked all over Catch 2/2 finaly got some help as United Empiers Jeff Cobb and Callum Newman cleared house and escorted the HOUSE OF TORTURE to the back with a bit of help from young lion Boltin Oleg.

The deciding moment arrived when TJP executed a brilliantly modified 2/2 move, pinning Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the victory (16:40). This impressive win granted TJP and Akira the rightful opportunity to challenge Bullet Club Wardogs, represented by Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney, for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag belts on January 4th at Wrestle Kingdom 18. After the match just as celebrations where about the begin, Connors and Moloney launched a surprise attack on their WK18 challengers from behind, but before any further damage could be done Jeff Cobb and Callum Newman, rushed to the ring to intervene and make the save once again. This has raised the tention and stakes for this title match for WK18.
