Gunther now has his opponent set for WWE Survivor Series as The Miz emerged victorious in a Fatal 4-Way Match on the November 6, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw. The win earned Miz the chance to challenge Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, November 25.
In the intense match, The Miz triumphed over Bronson Reed, Ricochet, and Ivar, securing the victory by pinning Bronson Reed. However, post-match, Ivar unleashed his frustration on The Miz, upset that Ricochet managed to get his shoulder up while simultaneously enduring a painting session by Ivar himself.
The announced team hinted at potential obstacles for Miz leading up to Survivor Series, suggesting he might face challenges on the road to the event.
Gunther had earlier conveyed that Miz was not on his level, but Miz, boasting an impressive eight-time reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion, has a chance to equal Chris Jericho’s record should he emerge victorious on November 25. Notably, this matchup marks the first WWE Intercontinental Championship bout at Survivor Series in seven years, with the last instance occurring in 2016 when Miz defended the title against Sami Zayn.
In an additional announcement, WWE revealed the return of WarGames at this year’s Survivor Series event, adding more anticipation for the stacked card awaiting fans.
