Kevin Owens faced a suspension on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. Acting as a commentator in place of Corey Graves, who was absent due to the birth of his son, Owens had a specific condition – no physical involvement with competitors while on commentary.
Owens adhered to this stipulation until he encountered harassment from Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Enduring mockery and having water poured on him, Owens reached his breaking point when the duo threw a bottle at Kevin Patrick. In response, Owens retaliated by attacking Waller and Theory.
The consequence of his actions led WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to suspend Owens, who had no choice but to comply and retrieve his tie.
