According to information from Fightful Select, details about the upcoming War Games event have emerged just weeks away from the show. While Fightful Select had previously reported months ago about War Games being planned for Survivor Series, recent insights into the men’s segment have shed light on the participants.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported this week that Drew McIntyre was under consideration for WWE War Games. However, Fightful Select reveals that McIntyre’s involvement has been part of the working plan for months. Specifically, he is slated to join the heel/Judgment Day side, forming a 5-man team. On the babyface side, the plan has been in place for a returning Randy Orton since this summer. The reveal is tentatively scheduled before the show to avoid any CM Punk speculation.
It’s essential to acknowledge that creative plans can undergo changes, although they tend to be more consistent in recent times. Nonetheless, the involvement of both Orton and McIntyre has been on the agenda in recent months.
Additionally, there are plans for a Women’s War Games match, hinted at by the conclusion of Smackdown. While PWInsider reported Becky Lynch’s expected involvement, Fightful Select has not been able to confirm this detail as of now.
