Santos Escobar asserts his independence.
On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Rey Mysterio addressed his WWE United States Title loss to Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel. During the discussion, Carlito accused Santos Escobar of leaving brass knuckles in the ring for Logan to use.
Escobar, displeased, left the ringside area.
Following the segment, Carlito faced Bobby Lashley in singles competition and was attacked by Lashley and the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) afterward. Santos Escobar stood by, watching the attack unfold. Rey Mysterio intervened, using a chair to save Carlito.
As Mysterio checked on Carlito, Escobar unexpectedly attacked him. After a confrontation with Zelina Vega, Escobar walked away.
