Tony Khan Announces First Ever AEW Continental Classic Tournament, Full Details

AEW President Tony Khan, alongside Bryan Danielson, revealed plans for the inaugural AEW Continental Classic Tournament during the November 11 AEW Collision episode. Set to unfold over six weeks, the tournament will feature two groups of six wrestlers each, engaging in a round-robin format akin to New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax Tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, November 22, on AEW Dynamite, with the grand finale slated for AEW Worlds End on Long Island, New York, on December 30.

Additionally, it was disclosed that Bryan Danielson will be the initial participant in the tournament, marking his return after a brief hiatus due to an orbital injury.
