His last in-ring appearance was at WWE Crown Jewel, where he lost the WWE United States Championship to Logan Paul.
During the recent episode of WWE SmackDown, Santos Escobar betrayed Mysterio and the LWO, exacerbating Rey’s injury by forcefully kicking the steel steps into his leg. This incident served as an on-screen explanation for Rey’s absence due to injury. Mysterio shared on social media this Tuesday that he underwent a successful knee surgery.
