AEW World Champion MJF has openly discussed the possibility of making a move to WWE as reports circulate about the expiration of his current contract.
As we approach the new year, the future of AEW World Champion MJF appears uncertain, given his recent revelation about the contract’s expiration date with AEW.
MJF has been teasing a ‘bidding war of 2024’ for quite some time, asserting that his AEW contract is set to conclude at the beginning of the new year. In a worked shoot promo directed at Tony Khan and AEW in June 2022, MJF mentioned receiving a pay raise but clarified that it didn’t include an extension, maintaining that his deal is still set to expire next year.
In a conversation with Sports Illustrated, MJF delved into the possibility of a move to WWE once his contract concludes, acknowledging that there are aspects he appreciates about both wrestling promotions.
