Will Ospreay has officially joined the AEW roster, a revelation made during AEW Full Gear where he signed his contract in the ring, introduced by Tony Schiavone.
Ospreay expressed his intention to complete his commitments with NJPW before actively participating in AEW. His NJPW contract is set to conclude in February 2024, and post that, he plans to make his presence felt on the road to AEW Revolution.
During the announcement, Ospreay conveyed his desire for Tony Khan to assemble an impressive lineup, particularly for AEW All In and Wembley Stadium. As a highly accomplished wrestler with numerous championships, including the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Ospreay continues to hold the IWGP US (UK) Championship and is scheduled to defend it at Wrestle Kingdom 18 against David Finlay and Jon Moxley.
Ospreay has been engaged with AEW throughout the year, engaging in matches against Kenny Omega at NJPW x AEW Forbidden Door and Chris Jericho at AEW All In, marking his initial AEW appearance in 2022.
