A new report from Fightful Select has shed some light on why Jay White decided to sign with AEW rather than WWE.
According to the report WWE higher ups within WWE stated that the company “failed to communicate properly along the process,”
It is also noted that White’s decision to sign with AEW could potentially be down to Vince McMahon’s return to the company and the lack of main roster hires since then. Both Triple H & William Regal had keen interest in bring the former IWGP Champion into the company.
The report also details how AEW & Jay White had an agreement in place before Wrestlemania week despite some within WWE hoping White would still with company as of last week.
