Trinity Fatu, previously known as Naomi, has embarked on a new chapter in her career as she joins Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts division. Impact has become a preferred destination for talents seeking creative freedom, as highlighted by Impact World Champion Steve Maclin. In an interview with “The Wrestling Perspective,” Maclin shared the advice he gave Trinity for her Impact journey.
Reflecting on Impact’s recent success, Maclin said, “I think for the past two years that I’ve been there, [Impact has] been the quiet bubble that’s just been constantly growing.” He mentioned Trinity’s arrival in Chicago and shared his own experience, saying, “‘How you doing?’ She’s like, ‘It’s just weird for me to be told to just go be you,’ and I’m like, ‘I know, tell me about it.'”
Maclin’s advice to Trinity was simple but impactful: “‘Just own it. Go be you and show the world.'” He emphasized that joining Impact allowed him to showcase his true self to the world.
Trinity made her Impact debut on May 4 with a closing promo involving Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace. In the following week, she made a save for Grace and Purrazzo from The Coven. Trinity’s in-ring debut will take place tonight as she faces KiLynn King.
