A former WWE superstar has announced their upcoming return to the wrestling ring after taking a break from the sport. Cassie Lee, formerly known as Peyton Royce, shared the news on social media following the announcement by World Series Wrestling regarding her participation.
In WWE, Lee was part of the tag team known as The Iiconics. The duo made their tag team debut in May 2015 and remained with the company until their release in April 2021. Afterward, they reformed as IInspiration in IMPACT Wrestling in October 2021, continuing their journey until April 2022 when they announced their decision to take an indefinite hiatus from in-ring action.
While Billie Kay has recently discussed the possibility of returning to wrestling, she mentioned that her focus is currently on her acting career. On the other hand, Lee is set to make her return at World Series Wrestling in Australia in October 2023.
Expressing her excitement, Lee tweeted, “let’s grapple,” along with a GIF saying, “I’m back in the game,” reinforcing her message. Billie Kay, also known as Jessica McKay, showed her support by tweeting “my girl” from her Twitter account.
World Series Wrestling Full Throttle is scheduled to take place across Australia from October 6 to October 13. The event boasts a talented roster featuring familiar faces from WWE, AEW, and IMPACT Wrestling, making it an enticing spectacle for fans of these promotions.
